Vintage Sheet Music

VINTAGE SHEET MUSIC GRADING SYSTEM
MINT – Brand new looking pristine,  as good as the initial day of sale.  If a store stamp or sticker is present on what is otherwise Mint sheet music, the music was sold this way.  The appearance of a stamp or sticker will be noted in the description.
NEAR MINT – This is otherwise Mint material with some small defect such as a small edge nick, corner bend, scuff from shelf wear, etc.  Defects effecting grading will be disclosed
USED – Rating used for all music that has signs of handling, wear or use.  Wear ranges from almost none to very worn.  Defects can include edge tears, spine separations, corner wear, creases, stains, soiling, wrinkling, water damage, scuffs, abrasions, writing or other defects which affect the appearance or stability of the sheet music.

REPAIRS - Repairs (type and extent) made to the music will be disclosed, which may include:

Glue (any form of pure adhesive, such as paste, mucilage or rubber cement, used to repair the paper.)
Tape (cellophane, invisible, paper, fabric, glassine or masking will be identified.)
Archival (referring to modern, acid/lignin-free archival tissues and mending tapes.)
Signature & Stamps (markings on the music will be noted, such as store stamps, owner stamps, owner signatures or marks, autographs and facsimile signatures.  Artist signatures that are part of a photograph in this category are not noted.)
